We took the children to the Shanghai Science Museum today. It is absolutely HUGE and will take us many trips to get through. Luckily, we bought a family membership. Actually, we bought two family memberships and one student membership. Each family membership is for one adult and one child. Strange, I know. Needless to say, Bill and Carleigh have a card, Brennan and I have a card, and Ethan has his own card. Total it was under $100 american for a year, and by first impressions of the facility....completely worth it. We were there for 2 hours and only saw a few rooms. We were very impressed and the kids had a great time.
Brennan and I headed back to IKEA, and went to Walmart in the afternoon, to finish getting what we needed for the house. We are suppose to move in on Tuesday. Since we can't paint the walls all sorts of fun colors, we are accessorizing the house with lots of bright colors.
For anyone who may have questioned our safety here.....(mom)....... fear no more. Carleigh pushed the little red button in our bedroom this morning and lookie there... Within 2 or 3 minutes, security is at the door.
Our driver has stocked the car with DVD's for the kids to watch while on the road (the beauty of DVD prices in China!) He his such a nice guy! I think he likes watching them when he is waiting around for us too. His favorite seems to be the Garfield movies. After he purchased and watched the first in the car, he went and bought the second!
