Hong Kong's Beautiful Victoria Peak

It was a beautiful,  blue sky day today. We headed out as early as we could get our butts moving, and went through our usual series of transportation transfers (Disneyland Resort Shuttle, train station, train transfer, and a new one, taxi) to arrive at Victoria Peak. 

The tram up to the peak has been running since 1888, and takes you up a very steep incline to the top, where you can view Hong Kong from it's highest point. Although Ethan never made it up to the Sky Terrace observation deck, the rest of us enjoyed some beautiful views of the city and outlaying islands there. Bill then coaxed Ethan up to the level below the sky terrace, where we ate a good old American meal at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company. Here, Ethan chose to sit by the window, which looked over city central, and he also seemed to enjoy the beautiful view. Kid's growing up. We are very proud of him.

After returning to street level, we took a cab to a shopping mall that has a store for the Hiroshima handbags that I like (better prices in Hong Kong) , and Bill bought me my other birthday present. As usual in this part of the world, shopping in "malls" is not the same as in the US, and after this experience we were ready to head back to the hotel for a little nap.

 After our rest time we took the kids back to the pool, and brought some dinner back to the room for them. Later in the evening we left Ethan to babysit Carleigh and Brennan (first time ever), and Bill and I went down to the Studio Lounge in the lobby for the Curry Buffet (excellent!).
