Shanghai American School

Hello Everyone! I'm very happy -Bill figured out a way to get into the blogspot, view it and everything!

Yesterday the kids and I went to Shanghai American School (SAS). We got Ethan signed up for all of his classes, Brennan visited his class, bought meal cards, got our pictures taken for IDs, visited the libraries, ate lunch..the works. Bill needed the driver, so we took one of the buses home. There were 45 tour buses waiting outside the school to take kids home-it was pretty impressive. There are bus monitors on all the buses and they make sure the kids are buckled and keep control of things.

The kids were less than excited when we decided to start them on Thursday instead of next Monday....Mom was more than excited! Carleigh will still be with me as SAS does not have any openings for her age yet. We can hang out at the school anytime we want. I can check out books for her at the library. We can use the cafeteria. It has a coffee bar,  and five or six food stations, such as italian, wrap sandwiches, burgers and such, chinese food and salad bar. It rocks!

We have learned that there are quite a few american restaurants (fast food) here. There is Burger King, McD's, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Dunkin Donuts and Subway. Haven't seen them yet, but there is suppose to be a Taco Bell and Coldstone Creamery too.

It is rainy today and Bill has to work. The kids and I are going to the mall. It is HUGE and has all sorts of american stores.

More later.

Love, BBEBC
